Welcome to Field Maple Class! 

In Field Maple class, you will find our Year 2 and 3 children working hard with Mrs Stutters, Miss Joinson, Mrs Howlett and Miss Graham.

In the spring term, the class theme is 'If you go to the woods today' which is focussed on learning in our own school on site woodland, our local area and the wider Uk.

English

In year 2 and 3 we continue to develop children's phonic knowledge through reading and spelling.  In year 2 and 3 we further develop the love of reading through using individual colour banded reading books, guided reading using Book Talk and VIPERS and listening to high quality texts read by adults every day.

We will start the new school year by looking at number and place value.  Please take a look at the maths knowledge organisers below which will help you support your child at home with their learning.  Please take time to support your child in learning the meaning of the key vocabulary.
